Tomasz Jeleński, PhD
Director of International Centre of Education /
Assistant Professor Cracow University of Technology
Academic, urbanist and designer, holds MA in Interior Architecture from Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow (1997) and PhD in Architecture and Urbanism from Cracow University of Technology (CUT) (2006). An alumnus of the European School of Classical Architecture (ESSCA) (2016).
He was a scholarship holder of Polish Minister of Culture (2003) and Ministry of Science (2004); in 2004-05 visiting tutor at the Masters in Urban Design at Cardiff University; long-time lecturer and trainer at the Sendzimir Foundation’s Summer Academy ‘Challenges of Sustainable Development in Poland’. initiator and director of post-graduate studies in Sustainable Urban Management (from 2016). Since 2012 chairman of INTBAU Poland, since 2017 secretary of INTBAU College of Chapters. Member of the Sendzimir Foundation.
Edyta Gałat, MA
Lecturer of Polish as a foreign language
An alumnus of Oriental Philology at the Jagiellonian University (1994), post-graduate studies: at the Faculty of European Studies JU (2003); HR Management at the Cracow University of Technology (2012), Teaching of Polish as a foreign language at the University of the National Education Commission in Krakow (2018).
The Polish language teacher since 1997, she cooperated with , the “Kresy” Association to Aid Poles in the East, and the Glossa and Prolog language schools.
She has been associated with ICE CUT since 2004. She teaches general vocabulary at all levels of advancement and vocabulary for various specializations, Knowledge about Poland, and Polish language courses for students of various international programs in CUT (e.g. Erasmus, Tennessee).
She coordinates teaching and the work of teachers at the ICE CUT, the author of several textbooks for general and specialized teaching and games for foreigners and e-learning courses available on the Delta PK. Co-author of the Polish language course for beginners at https://navoica.pl/. Telk examiner of Polish as a foreign language at level B1/B2.
Izabela Kugiel-Abuhasna, MA
Lecturer of Polish as a foreign language
An alumnus of Polish philology (1998) and post-graduate studies Teaching of Polish as a foreign language (2017) at the Krakow University of the National Education Commission. She has many years of experience managing classes as part of preparatory courses in general Polish language, vocabulary for various specializations, and as well as major subjects, at various levels of advancement. Author of textbooks for foreigners for teaching economic language (“Wybraliśmy Ekonomię”) and scientific language (“Studiology”), as well as articles on these topics. Author of e-learning courses available on the Moodle PK platform for foreigners preparing to study in Poland and students. Co-author of the preparatory course program at ICE CUT. Coordinator of specialist modules of the preparatory course.
Agnieszka Kamińska, MA

An alumnus of Polish philology Jagiellonian University (2004) and Teaching of Culture and Polish as a foreign language at the University of Silesia in Katowice (2009)
Until 2014, she cooperated with various language schools as an English and Polish teacher. She has been associated with ICE CUT since 2005. She teaches general vocabulary at all levels of advancement and vocabulary for various specializations
Coordinator of Polish language courses for students of the Erasmus program and bilateral exchange with the University of Tennessee. She led the “Welcome to Poland” project of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), implemented at the MCK, and co-financed by the EU. Licensed TELC examiner since 2016.
Michalina Rittner, PhD
Lecturer of Polish as a foreign language
An alumnus of Polish philology (2007) and teaching Polish as a foreign language (2009) Jagiellonian University. She acquired also there her PhD in linguistics in 2013.
She has been working at MCK since 2012. She teaches grammar and writing at all levels, as well as the history of art and culture. Issues of lexical semantics are her curiosity.
She also worked with conference translators, students of humanities, and reverends in theological seminaries, teaching subjects related to linguistic correctness, text interpretation, interpersonal communication, lexicography, and language theory. She is the author and co-author of articles on linguistics and glottodidactics. Author of textbooks “Sztuka bez granic” (Art without borders) with the set of texts with lexical exercises.
Piotr Wandzilak, PhD
Lecturer in science
Alumnus of Jagiellonian University in 1977, where he also obtained his PhD in chemistry based on a thesis on mathematical modeling of electrochemical processes in 1991. He worked at the Institute of Nuclear Physics and the Institute of Catalysis and Surface Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Polyglot. Founder of a translation agency, translator and teacher of English and Polish. He teaches science classes, preparing for studies in English-speaking countries.
Since 2015, he has been a full-time employee of ICE CUT as an assistant professor and senior lecturer, mathematics and science vocabulary.
Kinga Górecka-Rokita, MA
Teacher of Polish as a foreign language
An alumnus of Polish philology and international cultural studies at the Jagiellonian University and post-graduate studies Teaching of Culture and Polish as a foreign language at the University of Silesia in Katowice. From 2006 to 2008, she was a Polish language teacher at the Riga Polish Secondary School in Latvia where she cooperated with the Latvian Ministry of Education, creating state final exams for students of Polish schools and Polish language teaching programs (Certificate ISEC). High school leaving examiner. In 2010, she was a teacher at the Summer School of Polish Culture and Language on Lake Baikal in Russia. Since 2008 she has been working in ICE CUT as a teacher of polish language and culture.
Beata Zaręba, MA
Teacher of Polish as a foreign language
Alumnus of Jagiellonian University – Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature in 2006 and Master’s degree in Teaching Polish as a foreign language in 2008. She cooperated with language schools, including: Profi Lingua, Warsaw Study Centre i Lignua City. She has been working at ICE CUT for many years teaching annual, semester, and summer courses at all levels of language advancement and as well vocabulary for various specializations. Author of e-learning courses available on the Moodle PK platform.. Have been getting along with language schools, including with many language schools, including: School of Polish Language and Culture at Jagiellonian University, Polish-German Academic Society, School of Polish Language “SLOWOTOK”
Monika Szymaniak, MA
Teacher of Polish as a foreign language
Alumnus of Polish philology and post-graduate studies Teaching of Polish as a foreign language at Krakow University of the National Education Commission.
She cooperated with language schools, including: Poliglota, Everest, Polish-German Academic Society, Glossa, where she taught the Polish language to individual and business clients.
Since 2011 she has been working in ICE CUT as a teacher of general Polish language, vocabulary for various specializations and major subjects.
Joanna Piera-Mitka, MA
Teacher of Polish as a foreign language
Alumnus of Polish philology Jagiellonian University (specialization of teaching and teaching Polish as a foreign language) and English philology Krakow University of the National Education Commission.
She gained experience in teaching Polish as a foreign language by cooperating, among others, with the School of Polish Language and Culture, Summer School of Polish Language and Culture JU, School of Medicine JU and Krakow University of Economics as part of the project „W świecie Polszczyzny” (In the world of Polish language)
Since 2011 she has been working in ICE CUT as a teacher of general Polish language, vocabulary for various specializations and major subjects at all levels of advancement.
Justyna Krztoń, MA
Teacher of Polish as a foreign language
Alumnus of German philology Jagiellonian University and Dresden University of Education. Completed postgraduate studies teaching Polish as a foreign language teaching in Jagiellonian University. In the years 1997 to 2003 she was employed in Annen Gymnasium Görlitz (from 2004 Augustum-Annen-Gymnasium Görlitz), where she developed teaching programs and examination requirements in Polish for a bilingual and binational profile.
She worked as a language teacher at the Prolog School of Foreign Languages, the Österreich Institut, with individual students at all levels of advancement and various needs for using the language in practice. She has prepared teaching programs and materials with intensive trade lexical training for them. Since 2018 she has been working in ICE CUT as a teacher of general Polish language, vocabulary for various specializations at all levels of advancement.

In ICE CUT she is involved with personnel and financial matters. She specializes in legal aspects of higher education, the stay of foreigners in Poland, and the recognition of education obtained abroad. It cooperates directly with the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), diplomatic missions, and the border service.
She has been working at MCK since 2003.

In ICE CUT she is involved with students’ issues: assistance with accommodation, registration, and health insurance (NFZ). She assists students during the recruitment to universities process and monitors the flow of documents and information. It serves scholarship holders of the (NAWA) Program -and other candidates for first-cycle studies.
